The National Museum of Ireland- Decorative Arts & History is thrilled to welcome Mother Pride Block Party back on the 28th and 29th June, 2024.

Kicking off with Brazza Block Party on Friday 28th June, Showcasing two of Brazil’s hottest musical exports, Braza Block Party is not to be missed.

Co-headliners PEDRO SAMPAIO and GLORIA GROOVE will be joined by a host of local talent for an unforgettable evening. Get your tickets for this warm and inclusive event that will celebrate Pride in Dublin and reflect and honour the diverse and exciting Brazilian LGBTQ+ community in our city.

On Saturday, June 29th the Mother Pride Block Party is back with a bang for a spectacular party celebrating Pride in our city. Returning to the glorious surroundings of the National Museum on Saturday, June 29th, for what they promise to be their biggest and most exciting Pride show yet.

Appearing on the mainstage of Mother Pride Block Party for it’s 2024 outing is a truly iconic array of talent including the experimental electronic artist who became a globally celebrated vocalist, COBRAH. Having already clocked global hits including the propulsive, tongue in cheek “GOOD PUSS” -- which has more than 25 million streams and was nominated for a Swedish Grammy.

Viral hit and electronic music sensation Princess Superstar, a New York City-based rapper known for her eclectic blend of sample-based hip-hop, electro, punk, and swagger. With two top 20’s under her belt including “Bad Babysitter”and “Perfect Exceeder” (#3 on the UK charts in 2006 and now in the top 40 UK charts, and Billboard Top 10 Dance charts after 17 years).

A true veteran of the dance music scene with an unmistakably unique vocaltalent Robin S who placed her first gold single, with the worldwide chart-topping smash and dance music classic – remixed with great success of – ‘Show Me Love’.

One of the most lauded and innovative Drag artists in the world and Ru Paul’s Drag Race Winner, Sasha Velour; a gender-fluid drag queen known for her stage spectacles, fierce activism, and boundary-breaking scholarship.

Visitor Information 


Opening Hours  

The Museum opening hours during the event will be 10am – 4pm on Friday 28th June and 10:00 – 14:00 on Saturday 29th June. The Museum will reopen as normal at 1pm on Sunday 30th June. 


Museum Access  

From Monday June 24th – Wednesday July 3rd, site access is for Museum visitors and staff only. 

Public pedestrian access will be through Benburb Street only from Saturday 29th June – Monday 1st July inclusive. The Arbour Hill gate will be closed to the public during this time. 

The Luas gate will be open 15 minutes prior to the Museum opening on the following dates:

  • Monday, June 24th to Friday, June 28th
  • Sunday, June 30th to Friday, July 3rd

Please note that the gate will be closed on Saturday, June 29th.

The closing times for the Luas gate are as follows:

  • 5:30 PM on Monday, June 24th to Thursday, June 27th and Sunday, June 30th to Tuesday, July 2nd
  • 3:00 PM on Friday, June 28th
  • 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3rd


Public Parking  

There will be no public parking available at our Collins Barracks site from Monday 24th June – Wednesday 3rd July inclusive (except for disabled parking - see below). 
 

Accessible Parking 

There will be limited accessible parking available on site for blue badge holders on Sunday 23rd – Wednesday 27th and Tuesday 2nd - Wednesday 3rd July. Please liaise with the steward at the gate when you arrive.  
 
There are no accessible spaces available in Collins Barracks from Friday 28th June - Monday 1st July, there will be limited accessible spaces available on Arbour Hill instead.
