Call out to Teachers of all primary and secondary schools in the midlands counties of Laois, Offaly, Longford and Westmeath. Spark creativity and encourage your students to become swifties by joining a drawing competition for Science Week 2024!
This year a special event all about swifts takes places as part of Midlands Science Festival with the National Museum of Ireland. As part of this event, Midlands Science are running a drawing competition for all primary and secondary school students in the Midlands. Students are asked to draw a swift, show some measures taken to protect swift populations, and depict the importance of swifts for biodiverity. The winner in each category will recieve a book voucher and a wildlife resources voucher for their school.
Competition Age Categories:
Ages 4 - 9
Ages 10 - 12
Ages 13 - 15
Ages 15 - 18
Deadline: Submissions can be sent to comurchu@midlanddsscience.ie by Friday, 8 November.
