The National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks, Dublin 7, is set to come alive for Tradfest 2025 with the historic Clarke Square hosting a series of concerts as part of this joyful celebration of Irish music and identity.

Collins Barracks is one of a number of key historic landmark sites across the city participating in Tradfest this January.

To celebrate Tradfest at Collins Barracks, the National Museum of Ireland is holding a series of free tours and activities to highlight the remarkable history of music-making in Ireland and to showcase the exquisite musical instruments in the Museum's collections.

All events are free and no booking is required.


Pop-Up Gallery Performances

Wednesday, 22nd January at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm
Friday 24th January at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm

Music Makers in the National Museum's Collection - Tour 

Sunday, 26th January at 2pm and 3pm
This Tradfest, find your rhythm by exploring the instruments on display in the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History. Join our guides on a free public tour of the galleries and learn about the history of Irish music-making throughout the centuries. Booking not required, however spaces are limited. Music Trail

Available in Reception throughout the festival.
Pick up a free Music Trail and explore the history of music through eight remarkable instruments on display in the Museum, from the emblematic Egan harp to uilleann pipes belonging to the renowned piper Leo Rowsome. TRADFEST AT COLLINS BARRACKS
