The Museum is delighted to once again host the popular Turlough 8km run, organised by Mayo Mental Health Association and Parke Keelogues Crimlin GAA Club, in partnership with Mayo AC and the National Museum of Ireland.

The event looks set to be bigger and better than ever in 2025, starting and finishing in the spectacular grounds of the National Museum at Turlough Park.

The run element of the event is registered with Athletics Ireland, which will attract the top talent in the county.

The Turlough 8k takes place at 12noon on Sunday, 16 February. The event is open to entrants aged 13 years plus and welcomes runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities. There is also a virtual element for those further afield, who can't make it to Turlough on the day. 

Be sure to tag the organisers in any photos or videos over the weekend and use the hashtag #moveformayo to be entered into a raffle draw for some lovely prizes.

Monies raised will go to supporting Parke-Keelogues-Crimlin GAA club and funding different community projects and mental health initiatives for Mayo Mental Health Association.
