Shows Sergeant Roper of the Black Watch in the centre; to the left foreground is fellow prisoner Ed McEvoy. Roper heard the click of the camera but did not know who had taken the photo, and McEvoy alarmed him by saying that it would be used to identify him to the prisoners' friends on the outside.
