Join us on a journey through Irish history, heritage and culture with a Museum tour this November

This November, step back in time and explore the untold stories of Irish history, heritage and culture through the lens of the National collections on a free immersive tour in any of our three Museum sites in Dublin and Mayo.

Experienced guides will take you on a journey as you discover what life was like from Stone Age to Medieval Ireland, marvel at the innovation and endurance of our rural ancestors through the Irish Folklife Collection or relive the stories and experiences of the Irish during World War One.

Our highlight event is Armstice Day at Collins Barracks which takes place on Saturday, 11 November from 1pm to 3pm at the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks. Through a programme of hands-on sessions and tours, Museum educators will reimagine the lives of soldiers, nurses and civilians in World War One. No booking is required.
