The National Museum of Ireland is open to visitors throughout most of the Easter holidays from 10am to 5pm, from Tuesday to Saturday, with the exception of Good Friday (closed). We are open from 1pm to 5pm on Easter Sunday and Monday. Admission is free.

If you are planning a visit to our Natural History site, please ensure you read our important visitor information in advance due to limited capacity and busy queuing times at this Museum.

We have three other Museum sites to visit in Dublin and Mayo. Plan your visit with these top things to do.

Discover more than 40 permanent and temporary exhibitions exploring social and military history, archaeology, Irish flora and fauna, culture, design, craft, folklife and more.

There are also lots of events taking place over the Easter Midterm break with free, family friendly guided tours, storytelling sessions, fun Museum trails, and the exciting 'Big Barracks Egg Hunt'. Browse the Events Calendar to find something to enjoy together.

Visit, learn, explore, engage and enjoy your time at the National Museum of Ireland this Easter!
