A drop in event at the NMI - Natural History.

Drop-in and discover some highlights from the extensive bird collections at the National Museum of Ireland – Natural History. Meet Zoology Curator, Emma Murphy, as she showcases some of her favourite specimens from the “behind the scenes” research collections.


Visitors will get a chance to see and learn about some the rarest specimens in the collections. Specimens out of storage and on view will include: Specimens from the Barrington Collection, one of the first citizen science projects in the world; brilliantly-coloured tropical birds; & rare specimens of now-extinct birds.

No booking required. This drop in event is located at The Wonder Cabinet.  Wheelchair accessible.
