Capturing Community: Celebrating Creativity, Connecting Cultures is an exhibition of photographs taken by photographer Tracy O’Brien. It documents the atmosphere, activities, and the people present at a community open day for families that was held in Collins Barracks last summer.

Organised by the Dublin 7 Children and Youth Action Group, a support network for families in the North West inner city, the open day is an annual event which aims to connect people from all ages and backgrounds in the community as well as celebrate and uplift cultural diversity in Dublin 7.

The National Museum is delighted to collaborate with our local community organisations on such vibrant intercultural and intergenerational events and be an inclusive space for the community, in the community.
