Join us for a weekend of tours and interactive object handling in commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising, and learn about the men and women involved in this historic event.


Hands-on History: 1916 in 16 Objects

Join us for Hands-on History: 1916 in 16 objects and explore fascinating stories from the Easter Rising through objects that reflect the legacy of this momentous turn in Irish history. The interactive handling session with artefacts from the Museum's handling collection will feature uniform items, historical ammunition, and original documents from the time. 

This is a drop-in handling sesion in the Museum Reception area. Handling sesions can be expected to take from 5-15 minutes.
