Enjoy a harmonious Tradfest at Collins Barracks, with free musical performances within our historic galleries and Guided Tours exploring the history of music and instruments in Ireland.

Wednesday, 22nd January at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm
Friday 24th January at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm

Immerse yourself in a live, traditional music performance within the Museum's galleries. Booking not required.


Music Makers in the National Museum's Collection - Tour 

Sunday, 26th January at 2pm and 3pm

This Tradfest, find your rhythm by exploring the instruments on display in the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History. Join our guides on a free public tour of the galleries and learn about the history of Irish music-making throughout the centuries.

Booking not required, however spaces are limited. Spaces are offered on a first-come first-served basis.


Music Trail

Available in Reception throughout the festival.

Pick up a free Music Trail and explore the history of music through eight remarkable instruments on display in the Museum, from the emblematic Egan harp to uilleann pipes belonging to the renowned piper Leo Rowsome.
