2025 is the Year of the Snake!

Join Evan Furlong on a tour of the Albert Bender collection at Collins Barracks as part of Dublin Lunar New Year Festival 2025.


Explore A Dubliner's Collection of Asian Art: The Albert Bender Exhibition on this bilingual (Mandarin and English) tour. We will look at the remarkable story of Albert Bender and the outstanding examples of Asian art he left to the National Museum.

The tour will take place at 1pm on Wednesday, 29th January.

Booking not required, however spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
 
About the Facilitator

Evan Furlong holds a Master's in Education from UCD and has been teaching Chinese Language and Culture courses to pupils in primary and post-primary schools, as well as at the new Taiwan Centre for Mandarin Learning in Ireland. In recent years, she transitioned to financial technology and completed a postgraduate degree in Fintech at TUD, and currently works at University College Dublin. Evan brings her deep knowledge of Asian culture to her tours of this exhibition.
