Warm up your Irish history in the Museum this November with our range of free guided tours!

Explore the life and times of iconic Irish designer and architect Eileen Gray in The Making of Modernism. Whet your appetite for history with A Taste of the Past, examining wining & dining through the ages. Learn about the changing roles of Irish women as reflected in their clothing and costume in The Way We Wore tour. Discover more about Ireland's revolutionary era in A Decade of Military Conflict. Delve into the range of symbols used to represent Ireland through time in Not Just Shamrocks. Confused about Collins Barracks? From Barracks to Museum tells the story of this site from its foundation to the modern day. 

Irish soldier's involvement in World War I will be examined in Recovered Voices on 10th and 16th November to mark Armistice Day commemorations. 

Don't miss our special lunchtime tour The Making of Beautiful Things on 15th November, highlighting the hidden treasures of Irish design in the Museum for DCCI's Irish Design Week.

Tours will begin in Reception at Collins Barracks. Booking is not required. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
