Join Dr. Michelle Larkin, National Pollinator Monitoring Scheme Officer with the National Biodiversity Data Centre, for an insightful introduction to Ireland’s rich biodiversity and the vital role pollinators play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. 

In this fascinating talk, Dr Michelle Larkin will also give an introduction to our butterflies and insect pollinators and will highlight the actions we can take to help biodiversity in our areas.

Learn how to get involved with monitoring these populations through various monitoring schemes and also discover National Biodiversity initiatives such as Explore Your Shore and Invasives.ie  

This talk takes places from 3pm to 4:30pm on Saturday, 17 May 2025, at the National Museum of Ireland - Turlough Park, Castlebar, in association with the new temporary exhibition, The Murmur of Bees.
