As part of the Open House festival, drop-in to the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology on Kildare Street and explore the Museum’s architectural history by following a photography trail looking back at the origins and design features of the building, and its first exhibitions. This information trail will meander around the Museum on pop-up displays, and explains the history of the stunning architecture of the building. It includes large photographs of the opening of the Museum in 1890, and the original exhibition layouts of the Museum in the early 1900’s.

Please note that this event is not a tour, and is a temporary pop-up exhibition that is in place throughout the Museum building. No booking required. This trail is partially wheelchair accessible.
