Come to the Museum and discover some of the most impressive brooches from Medieval Ireland. From the famous 'Tara’ brooch from Early Medieval Ireland, to brooches worn by Viking women, and even brooches given as love tokens in Medieval Ireland. Learn all about the people who made and wore these brooches, and then make your own brooch to take home!

What is a Drop-In Workshop?
This summer, bring the family into the Learning Resource Room, first floor, at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, and take part in a Drop-In Workshop. Each Drop-In workshop takes place for up to two hours and has a short activity that takes between 15-30 minutes to complete, however, you are more than welcome to stay as long as you wish.
