Wordsearch: Early Medieval Ireland

Find out more about some of Ireland’s early saints and the objects connected to them

Did you know that Ireland's earliest saints taught the Irish people about Christianity? Some of the objects used by these saints can be seen in the Museum today. Learn more about saints such as St. Patrick and St. Brigid, and see if you can find the words in our wordsearch. To find out more about these objects, check out the Museum's Treasury exhibition.

When you have found all the words, why not let us know how you got on by emailing educationarch@museum.ie or post a photo online through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #MuseumAtHome.

This activity sheet can be used as an at home activity for children and families, or printed off and used as part of your visit to the Treasury exhibition. When you have found all the words in the wordsearch you can discover more about Early Medieval Ireland and ogham Stones using our Ogham Code activity sheet.

This activity is designed for children aged 7-14 years old and is curriculum linked to the SESE History Curriculum. This can be completed at home, as a family activity, or used by Primary school teachers and students.
