Learn how your language school group can get the most from a visit to the National Museum of Ireland.
We hope your students enjoy their visit to the Museum.
Booking
All groups that wish to visit must contact the Bookings Office in advance. Due to the popularity of the site and the size of the Museum, slots for visits are scheduled up to a month in advance. However, please be aware that slots do tend to book up quite quickly when they are released. With visitor volumes we would suggest that afternoon visits be considered, for best availability. We do ask for at least a week's notice of a visit, both to give us time to process the request and to have a better chance of your preferred day and time being available.
Bulk bookings are not accepted due to limited visitor slots.
We cannot guarantee entry for groups that arrive without a booking, and your group may experience delays accessing the Museum if you have not booked.
The Bookings Office is open from 9am - 5pm Tuesday to Friday.
Supervision
Please ensure that all group leaders are familiar with the current group visit guidelines in advance of any visit.
All groups with members under 18 need to have adequate supervision in place, in accordance with our Child Protection Policy requirements. The required ratio is 1:15. The Group Leader must remain with their group at all times during the visit.
Online Resources
We have a number of online resources in English which may help your students improve their English as they explore the Museum, including wordsearches and activity sheets, which you also might find beneficial for use in the classroom pre or post-visit. Please find a link to our ‘Museum at Home’ resources here.
