Design consists of two large hearts and a marigold in between, with lozenge, hatched, and leaf decoration. On the upper part are the initials ‘M*S’ (separated by an eight-rayed star) and the date ‘1814’. The edge has a wide chamfer and in the centre is a hollow rectangular slot to accommodate a handle that is now missing.
