Jennifer Rothwell - Madeline

Dress, Madeline (2016) by Jennifer Rothwell

Fashion designer Jennifer Rothwell is inspired by Ireland’s heritage, creating wearable art through her vibrant print designs which celebrate Irish artists, folklore and traditions. Rothwell’s re-imagining of the designs of celebrated stained glass artist Harry Clarke recalls the best of the Irish Arts and Crafts movement and other recent collections have referenced the Book of Kells and the 1916 Rising. Produced using up-to-the minute digital print technology Jennifer’s vivid prints evoke our past and at the same time represent contemporary Irish design.  Her work beautifully complements and enhances the existing collections at the National Museum of Ireland.
